The Steelsharks Baseball Club was formed in 2016 to provide a place for serious baseball players to play travel baseball at a fair and reasonable price.  Coach Charlie Raineri (formerly Lehigh Valley Riverdawgs) and Coach Matt Sawarynski (formerly ESA Avengers) combined to join forces to form this team of select players from the Lehigh Valley, PA area.  All player costs for the organization will be fully transparent to our families without any profits being taken.

Coach Raineri managed the Lehigh Valley Riverdawgs Travel Baseball Team for 6 seasons.  Over the years, his Riverdawg Teams competed and won numerous tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including multiple ECTB, Brandywine Valley, Coplay, Bucks County, Douglassville, US Elite, MSI Maplezone, and Aberdeen Ripken.  The Dawgs would also finish Runner-Up at the  Toms River, NJ Fall Fest, and at the Diamond Nation Spring Mid-Atlantic Classic.  His 12u Team is remembered for being eliminated by State, Regional, and National Champion Red Land at the PA State LL Tournament in 2015, after going undefeated in District and Sectional play.  Coach Raineri is currently the Head Freshman Baseball Coach at Liberty High School, Bethlehem, PA.  His long time Assistant Coach Trever George will also be joining him on the Steelsharks Staff.

2020:  Coach Raineri accepted the voluntary position of the Director of Travel Baseball at Lehigh LL.  Coach is going back to his roots, and is bringing the Steelsharks name, in which travel baseball will be offered to kids league age 8U thru 18U.  Lehigh is one of the premier little leagues in the state of Pennsylvania, which offers baseball to kids in the community, at their multi-field complex in Bethlehem, PA.  The Sharks are proud to have Lehigh as their home base, and look forward to playing on the state of the art "Field of Dreams."
